Bentolicious #099
Today's bento was a quick and simple bento from me. I made 2 bugs from golden raspberries and grape tomatoes. Facial parts were made from crab stick and nori. Chicken fillet and potato stew were from dinner leftover. So this morning was not so much for cooking, just stir fried the Chinese cabbage with garlic and simply put everything inside the round bento box. The flowers were made from kamaboko and I sprinkled some furikake on the top of the rice.

Our house moving progresses ... Yesterday, some of the new furniture have been delivered to the new house but only kids' bedroom sets that have been installed. The others will be installed during this week and next week. After that we will need to do the major cleaning before we move more stuffs from the current house. We will put the 'house for sale' sign this weekend. We are trying to enjoy our slow moving :)

Having moved five times in the last two and a half years, I have to say -- a slow move is *much* nicer than a rushed one. I wish your family the best of luck and comfort in your move.

Also, I love how you did the bugs in this bento! The golden raspberries are perfect. :)

Bugs are too cute, and the flowers look so nice with the swirl. Bright and cheerful bento again from Lia! Nice to have the luxury of slow moving! You can enjoy living in 2 houses for awhile :)

simple but cute as usual. Glad your house moving is going smoothly :)

@hyphothermya : Thanks a lot! Wow you moved a lot ... I agree with you the rushed one will just give so much headache hehehe :)

@sherimiya : Thanks a lot Sheri! Always so sweet with your comment. You make my day :)

@noobcook : Thanks a lot Wiffy!

It is very cheerful as usual, Lia.
I've made several bentos for the past few days but do not feel confident yet to post them in my blog. I still need a very long way to go ha ha ha

@Journal Mommy Yenny : Thanks a lot Yenny! That's okay to post it, we all learning here. Will be great to see yours :)

Cute little bugs! Hope your move goes smoothly! Pack your bento gear carefully... we don't want you to have any casualties! hehehe

bento-nya girly banget mbak...manis deh liatnya...semangat buat pindahannya yah, pindah ke daerah mana mbak?

@hapabento : Hahaha ... Should put a special label on each box of bento stuffs :D Thanks a lot Debra!

@purple angel : Thanks a lot Sysyl! Msh di perumahan yg sama, cuman beda 1 blok aja :)

Cute little bugs!
I'm a lazy person and have been staying at the same old place for almost 30 years.

@Anncoo : Thanks a lot Ann! I told my husband that this will be our last house moving hahaha ... :D

Your round bento is always done so perfectly! I love it! And the bugs are really cute, like the mouth shape a lot!
Yeah, I think slow moving is better, I did that too during my last shifting house, and in fact my old house is still there, with lots of my stuff yet to handle, hehe...
Wish you have a enjoyable time moving house :D

I experienced this "moving house phobia" a year ago and I said the same words to my hubby. But now, seems like the phobia has gone. I don't mind to move again if to a bigger house.... kekekke

@Kids Dream Work : Thanks a lot Ai Ping! I love to pack in the round box and the 2-tiers rectangle oval box. I don't why, just feel comfortable with it :)

@Vanessa : Thanks a lot Vanessa! The bigger house means more space but more work to clean too hahaha :D

We moved house in two days.. it was crazy! I hope you enjoy the the slow move :) Almost #100!!

@Angi : Wow! In 2 days? I can't imagine that. I will have 1 day off sleeping after that hehehe :D Thanks a lot Angi!

Ahahay! One more bento to go for the #100! Semangaaaatttt!!! Hehehe. Ohoho, I can't find who's hiding hehe. The house moving sounds so fun, really want to be there to help you. Biasalah anak kos, udah kenyang sama yg namanya pindah2 dan sering bantu2 temen pindahan hehehe. Apalagi pas lagi nata barang2 hehe, serasa tukang design interior wkwkwkwkwk. Have a great weekend Mbak Lia :D

@tatabonita : Boo ... hahaha :D If you are in Jakarta and helping me that will be fun. I was 'anak kos' too before so I know what are you talking about :D Thanks a lot Tata!

Speaking about anak kos, I enjoyed that moment. The moment I appreciated what my mom cooked for me. It was really hard for me to eat without MSG, so I decided to learn how to make stir fry broccoli at that time. :D

hi lia, love your kamaboko flowers. i just bought some kamaboko from meidiya(it's hard to find in a local supermart). i have yet to use any. do i just boil/cook them like fish cake?

@Indonesia-Eats : I enjoyed it too ... really on my own for everything. Kind of proud because I can do anything independently. Thanks Pep to share the memory for being an ex-'anak kost' hehehe :D

@anna2003 : Hi Karen! Kamaboko is actually sold already cooked. You can boil, steam, deep fry, etc. just like fish cake. Thanks Karen :)

Lia, it's so nice that you can have a slow move...it makes the work seem less overwhelming.

Cute bento...I have a question...how do you get the crab stick piece cut so small without it shredding? Mine always shreds and I just figured it couldn't be done. When you have time could you let me know?

Thanks!

@Kuusou : Thanks a lot Kuusou! For the crab stick, I just boiled them for few seconds and cut it with small straw. I don't have any shreds problem so far.

Those bugs are too cute, and the flowers are gorgeous!

Good luck with the move! Ooo we are all waiting for #100!

i think the slow move is great in some ways, helps you get organized and really think about where you want to put stuff in the new place. can also really drag out the process, though! ... so i'm glad to hear you are enjoying it and not getting too stressed out! i'm wishing you the best and easiest move possible :-)

these little bug friends made me smile - i love their round mouths and the trail of flower pollen they were probably collecting!

Lia, I love the bugs, the looked cute.. And I hope your slow moving will success.

Same with Tata, if I am in Jakarta, I will glad to help you "gotong-gotong barang". Buuuut with one condition, you have to make me a bento everyday I come, hahahaha....

@Lyndsey : Thanks a lot Lyndsey!

@megan : Thanks a lot Megan! Always so sweet with your comment :)

@mushima hawani : Thanks a lot Wani! You don't need me to make a bento for you. You are so good ... ;)

simple but cute ^_^ u have many ideas to make bento so adorable.. aku masih belum bisa bikin bento begini..kasih tips kecilnya (step2nya) dong mb lia..buat para blogger ^_^

@Indah Sarah : Thanks a lot Indah!

*dari penggemarmu* hehe ^^

I'm glad to read your move has been leisurely and relaxed, Lia! Another bento that made me smile, thank you!

@bentobird : Thanks a lot Jenn!
