Bentolicious #140
I bet everyone knows Kuromi. She is one of the Sanrio characters, and is the friendly rival of My Melody. I put a little bat too for today's bento, to join the fun with other bento friends for Halloween theme bento. We don't celebrate Halloween here, although some restaurants, international schools, and some places will put the decoration and celebrate the event with Halloween costume. I still remember a couple years ago on Halloween day, some expatriate kids around our neighbourhood knocked on our door and shouted 'trick or treat'. We were confused that night because we never bought candies even for our kids. The only thing that we had was chocolates. So the kids ended up "please please give us more" ... and tried for being nice, we pulled out all our chocolate stock in the fridge and gave to them LOL :D
Inside the box : rice, chicken curry, chicken ham rolled with cucumber pickles, sauteed carrots, and slices of strawberry.
Enjoy and have fun this weekend!!

Awww soooooo cute!!!!! love every details and colors too.
I am ordering the same note food picks, but I haven't got it yet. Have a great weekend ^_^

Wow, Kuromi looks perfect! Love! So funny to be introduced to Halloween like that, and lucky you had a chocolate stock ready! I'm always afraid I won't have enough candy; each year there seems to be more and more kids!

@sherimiya : Thanks a lot Sheri! Choco always in the fridge. That is my husband's philosophy. He has a habit to always eat choco after dinner. Me and my kids will join in sometimes :D Hope you will have enough candy later and don't get tricked by the same kids with different costume LOL ...

@Just a MOM : Thanks a lot Lin! Hope your food picks will arrive soon ... Those note food picks got 2 different packs. The light colors and darks colors :)

SO cute! :D Sorry Lia I haven't been commenting lately, been really busy, but just want you to know I love all your Halloween themed bentos, really puts me in the mood, look forward to see more :D

The Kuromi is so cute! The black and white colours is just nice for Halloween theme, even your bat and the music picks! :D

@noobcook : Thanks a lot Wiffy! I know that you have so much to do especially for the Samsung project. So don't worry, you are welcome anytime to pop up on my blog when you are not too busy. Love your yummy and beautiful cooking articles for Samsung ♥

Frankly speaking i didn't know her name is Kurami...hehehe don't laugh...:)
As always, your bento looks delicious and neat. Have a nice weekend too Lia

@Kids Dream Work : Thank you so much Ai Ping!

@Journal Mommy Yenny : Thanks a lot Yen! *close my mouth with 2 hands* hehehe ... ups!

Woooowww.... I like it a lot! I like it when the bad "rules" the bento box hehehe. Waiting for another "bad" from you ^^v

@tatabonita : Thanks a lot Tata! October is a 'dark month' for bento :)

I really like this bento box it is so much fun! That was so nice of you giving the kids your chocolate! Around here the stores give you every chance to buy enough chocolates in small sizes, perfect for giving out to many little ghosts and gobblins. :D

Iya yah, di Indonesia nggak ada perayaan Halloween, kalo ada pasti seru. Kuromi-nya imut banget, itu di alas kertas ya mbak? biar apa?

@Lyndsey : Thanks a lot Lyndsey! They looked so desperate that time hehehe ... Shopping for candy and chocolate for Halloween must be a great experience too. Different culture different celebration, love the diversity :)

Lol! I love that halloween story Lia. Hilarious! Again, this is way too cute, boo style. Just so fantastic! Kids these days get competitive over who gets more candy and also, who filled up their Unicef box first (lots of school kids here wear a unicef box around their neck and ask for cents & candy). Have a great Friday Lia!

@Sysyl : Thanks a lot Syl! Hayo mau pake kostum apa? Kertasnya namanya wax paper, aman dimasukin ke microwave dan alas makanan. Aku taruh antara nasi dengan Kuromi, just in case kalo anakku nggak mau makan Kurominya tinggal diangkat aja wax papernya jd gampang pimdahinnya :)

@Chantale : Thanks a lot Chantale! I don't know about Unicef box ... Oh my, hope the kids will not get into a silly fight over that :p It should be a fun event right?

eheh, it was so nice from you to give your own choco ^_^. Here too, we don´t have halloween but last year we got some kids in monster costumes asking candy. Hah! We had to give some of ours.. so, this year we bought candies already (just in case ;)
And so adorable Kuromi! Pikkusiili really likes her and she was so excited when she saw the bento! She started pointing her own t-shirt and telling "same as this! same as this!" ;)
Have a great weekend you and your family too!

WOW! Lia, you're really creative. I want to call you Bento Queen. Look at that Kuromi, so cute and I wish you can make this for me ;))

@karaimame : Thanks a lot Lilian! Smart preparation to face those 'monster kids' hahaha ... I was surprised to see PK with her cute Kuromi T-Shirt (on Twitter), yeah high-5 PK!

@Anncoo : Thanks a lot Ann! I will make one for you, no worries hehehe ... :)

For a long time I thought kuromi is a boy!!! My kids pointed out that it's a girl cos she has eyelashes. Love how you cut those pretty eyelashes!

@anna2003 : Thanks a lot Karen! Your kids are very good with details :)

Everything just soooo cute! I love Kuromi. Love the pinky skull.

@Emily Ng : Thanks a lot Emily!
