Bentolicious #232
I was happy this morning when I saw the sun finally shined. But just when I finished making bento and wanted to take the picture, the sky went dark. Probably the baby that I made for today's bento got surprised too LOL :D I tried my best to take the picture, a bit dark though. I don't think I need to explain the ingredients that I used to make the surprised baby and his doll. Can you guess all of them?
Kids will be going home at 3PM today, so here am I, sitting at the Starbucks, typing the post, and probably after this trying to find an idea for tomorrow's bento. I'm thinking about making a character from Sanrio right now. But sometimes the idea will just switch to another idea. Anyway, I wish I can have a cup of coffee with all my bento friends. Wouldn't that be great?
Inside the boxes : rice, stir fry veggies (carrots, green beans, baby corns), boiled quail eggs, cucumbers, and five spice chicken.

Such a cute bento! I'm guessing that rice, ketchup, nori, candy, egg sheets and/or cheese are in the little kyaraben part? ^^ You always make yours so interesting.

Okay, colored rice, egg sheet, kamaboko!
I will meet you at Starbucks! Can you order my tall Americano for me?
Hehe.
That would be way too much fun to chat together and pick up the kids every afternoon... sigh...

@AikoVenus : Thanks a lot Shin! I didn't use cheese but egg white sheet for the white part hehehe ... Trick you there :D And I colored the rice using decofuri. Still have some packs to finish before expire (^.^)

@sheri fujihara chen : You guessed it right Sheri! Usually I ordered latte but today is Americano for me. Wish we live nearby ... oh well! Virtual coffee time then ;)

@Bobo : Thanks a lot Florence! Glad that you like it. I think we will have so much fun if that really happened (^.^)

Hi Lia, same answer as Sheri (sorry, Sheri for imitating your answer hahaha) and I love your use of jelly ball!
she looks sweet-cuddly :)
Should head to Starbucks with you soon hehehe

Joining you at the Starbucks too! Our coffee machine broke yesterday night!! TOTAL panic! Eh...
Oh... so sweet baby! By the way... another question today (am I bothering you with so many lately? ;)... is the jelly ball for the nose sweet? So many colors, love them!

@karaimame : Thanks a lot Lilian! Hope the coffee machine will be fixed soon or you will have to join me at the Starbucks hehehe ...
The jelly balls came in 3 colors in one pack (red, yellow, and white). They are sweet but not that kind of candy sweet. I'm actually want to doing some experiment this weekend to make my own. If success, I will share it in tips section. Wish me luck! (^.^)

Btw, Happy New Year 2012, Lia, I wish you and your family all the best :D)!! Looking forward to seeing your sanrio bento - I am still thinking myself what I should make for tomorrow's bento, I have not been so productive in bento making lately...

@OhayoBento : I would love too. Kids always finished their veggies but there are some veggies that are not their favorite. Thanks a lot Heather!

@Nami : Thanks a lot Nami! I know you will be doing just fine later. Especially with your delicious cooking. And your son will be so happy to take his own bento to school. Don't worry (^.^)
